Connected
I can't help but feel connected to so many people around the world thanks to the College Program. Even though I arrive in 79 days, I feel that this waiting is part of the experience. Belonging to many Facebook pages, meeting future CPs from Puerto Rico and from all around the world, and seeing everyone's pictures from casting and traditions... It's so incredible to think that I belong to this awesome program ♥
This week I was celebrating the end of the semester with my sister and her friends and I met a guy that is leaving on Monday for his DCP :D It was so exciting and to think that I have to wait until August... But the point is that the DCP connects people, and it's a magical feeling!
Application Dates for the WDW College Program
Well, the first thing you need to know is that the applications for the Disney College Program come out twice a year. They usually come out at the beginning of February and the beginning of September. Each program has a duration of 6 to 9 months. The "regular" program lasts 6 months and the advantage program lasts 9 months.
If you apply in February, you will leave for the Fall Advantage Program or Fall Program. The arrival dates start in May, for Fall Advantage and August for the Fall Program. The departure dates for the Fall Advantage or Fall Programs are in early January.
If you apply in September you leave for the Spring Advantage or Spring Program. The arrival dates start in January for both programs. Yet, the Spring Advantage Program ends in August, while the Spring Program ends in May.
This is a timeline of the dates, just in case I did a lousy job explaining it!♥

Frozen Drinking Game
Okay, so to cope with the 80 days I have left to start the DCP I leave this right here!
P.S. Not that I'm drinking tonight or anything...pshh
Can I Apply?
To participate in the DCP you must meet the following requirements:
1. Be at least 18 years of age by the time of your arrival date. You can apply at 17 but make sure that you turn 18 before your program begins.
2. Be enrolled and taking classes in an accredited college or university. It is the COLLEGE program after all :P
3. If you are a Freshman you can apply on your second semester of college.
4. Seniors can apply while studying and participate immediately after graduation. This is my case, and I applied the month of February (while I was still studying), got accepted in March, my graduation is in June and I leave in August.
5. Graduate students can apply to the program as well.
6. Meet the college or university requirements, which may include GPA, grade level, credits...
7. Have unrestricted work authorization, because of course you will work in Disney now!
That is basically it! Now remember to:

What is the Disney College Program?
Most of you may be wondering what is the Disney College Program? Well, to put in in a simple sentence, it is a PAID internship were you work in the most magical place on Earth... Disney ♥
Yes, you get to experience working for Disney, and you get to put Disney as part of your resume!!! This is the opportunity of a lifetime, you will learn, change and grow like never before. The College Program has three components: living, learning and earning. You live in the complexes Disney provides, you have the opportunity to take classes in Disney University and of course you get paid to work, which is always a plus $.$♥ lol!
And like every internship you must meet certain requirements to apply to the program, but I will make a separate post for that. In the mean time, take it all in and have a magical day!♥
